Despite repeated statements to the contrary, the rumors are true: Microsoft will be selling a 250GB hard drive separate from a console. Better news, the drive is available today at your favorite retailer. Microsoft revealed the news via the accessories section of the Xbox Dashboard, so it’s not clear if this was intentional, or if someone made an error. Either way, the 250GB drive is available today, and selling for $129.99 and your favorite retailer or online. A bit steep for a drive this size, but since you can only buy one from Microsoft, you don’t have much choice. [via Joystiq ]

Nice, 32GB. Thanks, SanDisk ! Now we can all shoot RAW just as carelessly as we shoot JPEG, for the low, low price of $200. Huzzah! Right, so SanDisk will release a 32GB microSDHC card next month. That doubles the capacity of its top-end cards. There’s very little else to say. What do you currently use these cards for? OK, now imagine being able to do that for twice as long. There you go. In other news, Leo Messi is the greatest footballer on the planet. It’s a shame this card didn’t come out last week. Well, that was unexpected. Tacked on to the news of the Palm Pixi Plus and Pre Plus finding their way to AT&T was a passing mention that AT&T would soon be pulling back the curtains on an Android-powered phone by Dell called the Aero. All they’ve said so far: AT&T also will soon unveil an Android-based smartphone the Dell Aero. This will be Dell’s first smartphone available in the U.S., and will feature a new, beautiful custom user interface developed by Dell and AT&T. Oops! Looks like someone accident let some information out early. AMDs “Thuban” processors will be out next month, and there wasn’t a whole lot of information out there until recently. Turns out that somebody talked. Well, at least someone’s BIOS talked. Gigabyte released a couple of BIOS updates recently, and Tech Connect spotted the news: The X6 1035T will have 6 cores, and be running at 2.6 GHz, and the X6 1055T is going to run at 2.8GHz. There was some news about the new Phenom II X6 as well; the 1075T will be clocked at 3.0 GHz, which is about 333 MHz slower then Intel’s new i7 980x . Bummer for AMD, but we’ll see who the real winner is when the pricing comes out; Intel’s new chip sells for $999 right now.
