Trace Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus is coming back to the little screen with a different one of his kids – he’s partnering up with son Trace for the reality show about conspiracy theories involving paranormal phenomena.

The Achy Breaky Heart hit-maker co-starred on Disney’s Hannah Montana alongside his daughter, Miley Cyrus, from 2006 until the series finale earlier this year. He has now signed a contract with Syfy network to star on UFO: Unbelievably Freakin’ Obvious, that would feature Billy Ray and his 21-year-old son, Trace traveling cross-country to do research on unexplained activity.

The Cyrus patriarch tells Variety, “The existence of paranormal phenomena are a few things, I’ve always desired to explore more. Getting the chance to consider this adventure with my son, who’s always had a zealous interest on this area, is really a dream come true. I anticipate this series can shed some light on a few of the activities we’ve questioned, as well as the mysteries which have long inspired us.”

Production for the series pilot is scheduled to start this autumn.
