What we found in the new operating system 3G compared to 3GS:
- Video / Video MMS, motivation would be much less CPU on the 3G front of 3GS. Honestly I would have been happy with 15 FPS or lower resolution.
- AF, Autoexposure, Macro, setting that improves the photo and video quality; to this they really have no excuse.
- Voice control, like the previous, not excuse, the truth is that I already bought an application that knows to look for voice contacts, is really not as good so anyway the excuse that it needs a more powerful processor does not stand.
- Compass, here is quite clearly and has to do with the software, is justified.
- More precise information on the state of battery, option to show a battery power percentage left will be only available on 3G S.
But above all the first generation iPhone will missing even more including MMS and anyway I do not worry because I’m sure that in time will appear *. IPSW custom sites will enable the skills and the previous generations 3GS.
What we found in 3G:
- Spotlight – you can search everything on the iPhone, music, movies, applications to e-mail and bookmarks from Safari, indeed one of the most useful applications built-in that aloud you to install more applications than the 11′s homescreen. Practically, now, the only limitation is storage capacity to install applications.
- Copy / cut-paste work close to the level of PC meaning that it can be copied a website with all the photos, layout in the mail, keeping the identity of characters. I think it is much better than any other phone and it is justified that they spend so much time for giving this function to their users.
- MMS, only photo to iPhone 3G, from what I understand on 2G will not work either.
- Tethering – for tethering settings you enter the forum where you will find a very simple way to enable all networks.
- Push notification, in the Settings option appears only after it downloaded an application that uses this API.
- Access to iTunes and YouTube accounts – you can change the account directly from the phone, there is no need to connect the computer to switch from one account to another. Youtube automatically synchronizes bookmarks from your iPhone with those on Youtube account and, finally, you can enter the Youtube account of the application from the iPhone.
- Safari – faster and capability to save passwords and IDs on site-uri/forum-uri.
- Small improvement of iPod include: search in entire iPod library, a new way to control the unfolding allows more fine control, but it is not visible if you try to do screenshots, but it is very simple, once you select the landmark for the conduct of this unfolding decreases the speed as you pull your finger closer to the “Home”. It works the same in the video player.
- Voice – works even when the phone is locked, unfortunately I got to test if it works and when you are in a conversation.
- Landscape view on most applications that come in packages with the phone.
