Martin Scorsese takes us once again eyes, this time with spectacular and its mostly Shutter Island, for which Leonardo DiCaprio would likely to grab an Oscar nomination in 2011.
DiCaprio is Teddy Daniels, a U.S. Marshall sent in the early 50′s Shutter Island, home to the prison-a sanatorium for criminals with serious mental illness, to discover the circumstances of the disappearance of a patient from a stock with latticed windows and locked from the outside . Accompanied by his partner Chuck (Mark Ruffalo), Daniels will hit the reluctance of doctors led staff Cawley (Ben Kingsley) and Naehring (Max von Sydow), not to put the account battalions of “patients” dangerous, but the storm striking Shutter Island, it destroys the electrified fence and a completely isolated from the mainland.
Daniels and Chuck have a few days to discover the dark secrets of the sanatorium, but above all to escape with their lives and minds of the whole affair.
Martin Scorsese manages a real master stroke with Shutter Island, a horror thriller with vague overtones that will keep you trembling with tension on the chair of cinema. The director was inspired by film noir of the mid-century and raises to Chapter suspense with lots of signs and fireworks it’s film, which I mounted, but you prepare for the end of the totally surprising, but equally defect that combination of drama, thriller, police new video. At the end of the movie every right to accuse him of Scorsese that you there, but you can not appreciate the deployment for you, the viewer, to put yourself taken prisoner by the events of the dark labyrinth of Shutter Island.
