your GOP has ‘deficit attention disorder’ – they obsess about it when they are out of power and ignore it when they are in power

  2. zatoth13 says:

It should not be used as a slush fund no matter who is in office. Don’t try that spin crap with me!

  3. rebjiii says:

you like when GWB tried to use it as a slush fund to pay for the Iraq war in 2003 ?

  4. zatoth13 says:

yes, it’s wonderful as it is because the federal government can use it as a slush fund to hide spending over the budget-something they could not do if it were reformed

  5. jtkirkfan2002 says:

I just called Child Protective Services. They’re on their way. No child should be left in the hands of the terminally stupid. One look at rebjiii’s posts and even left-leaning social workers are frightened.

  6. jtkirkfan2002 says:

Who is condemning it? I said that my and other conservatives’ wish is that individuals are able to save enough for retirement to make it obsolete. We want people as independent of government for their daily lives as possible. You want a nation of “Julia’s” looking to “His Lord Most High, The One Barack Hussein Obama, MMM, MMM, MMM” for their meager everyday sustinence.

social security is a wonderful program that should be applauded – not condemned

    Oh, God! You didn’t reproduce!!!!!!!!!

  10. jtkirkfan2002 says:

Yeah, like the woman I saw onm TV with five kids and had all of them declared “disabled”. My tax money she got was “help from above”. No, lady. It’s help from those of us who actually produce something. And I was just trying to help the person in my example. I wasn’t talking about $600 a month. But if she wants to eek by on 800 a month when a better life is possible, that’s her business. She just needs to remember where it originates. Most don’t have a clue.

  11. jtkirkfan2002 says:

No. Once again you are hearing what you want to hear. Liberals are really good for that. It was one of our founding fathers who came up with the “share equally in misery” line. Which one I do not recall at the moment. You seem to confuse effort with achievement. You must be from a labor union. Good paying jobs are out there. We can’t find qualified people to fill them. Someone who just trades hours for dollars isn’t going to make the money that someone who steps out on his own is.

  12. CSILogic says:

To that disabled person, you probably sounded like another hustler with another hair-brain scheme. To get on disability is a very long, exhausting process. Have seen people lose cars, apts, etc. doing so. But to try and work, could diminish their health even more, and lose their job anyway, only to end up with nothing again. For most on disability and even on welfare, it’s too much of a risk. They make $600/mo. working, lose $800/mo. in benefits? For them that’s a bad business decision.

  13. CSILogic says:

Share equally in misery? You almost sound psychotic, or just the usual angry republican. Like you have to be a wealthy business owner, or everyone is absolutely poor, living on food stamps, welfare and unemployment. Most people live in the middle. The may share in mediocrity, which is dropping lower and lower, but very few accept abject poverty without trying some other “business venture” often under the table. Don’t think they never try. Just that is usually small and they never get rich.
