Verizon Wireless and Samsung seem to have joined forces to disappoint millions of US consumers, by not releasing one of the most highly anticipated devices of the year as expected – that being the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. With the expected release dates of November 17th and 21st now having come along without so much as a word from the proverbial horse’s mouth, December 8th has become the next best guess in a frustrating situation not dissimilar to that surrounding the release of the Samsung Galaxy S2.
Leaked images being displayed online depict the new Nexus and suggest an all-but official release date of December 8th, based on both marketing materials and of course the usual educated guesswork. Of course, the more optimistic observers are quashing such suggestions altogether and remain confident that one way or another, the new Nexus will indeed see its US launch this month.
European and UK markets have already seen the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, where reception has of course lived up to the hype to say the least. Needless to say, with the holiday shopping frenzy just days away and still no sign of the Nexus on US soil, both Samsung and the major carries destined to receive the Nexus may every day be missing out on massive sales with what is destined to be a success story of truly epic proportions.
